... So I'm watching the National Championship game here and was stunned when the national anthem singer, "JoJo", was not Ashlee Simpson.
Somehow, through seeing these nearly identical album covers repeatedly at Best Buy, I think I made the osmosis-induced decision that they are the same person. I actually remember thinking: "Ugh, 'JoJo' is such a ghetto nickname for 'Jessica' -- what a cheap grab for sales."
And yes, I know that makes no sense considering this is Ashlee we're talking about, not Jessica, but I suppose that's the second confusing piece of this story... | |

JoJo is only about 14 as well, whereas I think Ashlee is 16 or 17 maybe.
JoJo seems to have a better management team as well, and a solid pop direction, whereas Ashlee seems confused about who she is and where she's going.
And yes, I watch TV with my daughter, and I'm forced to know these things. |
