So I thought it would be interesting to look through imdb and see what rumors are around for 2006. I've pulled out the ones that I thought were somewhat interesting. There seem to be a lot based on video games. Some just have to be wrong like "Revenge of the Neards" and "Police Academy." How could anyone justify a Jurassic Park IV. I'd like to send this to myself as an email that will arrive at the end of 2006 to see what acctually got made. Anyway, without further delay here's the list:
Year of the game movie
-----------------------
Half-Life
Halo
House of the Dead 2: Dead Aim
Metroid
Rainbow Six
Resident Evil: Afterlife
Tekken
Other interesting choices
-----------------------
A-Team, The
Baywatch
Big Momma's House 2
Da Vinci Code, The
Die Hard 4.0
Ender's Game
Evil Dead, The
Flash Gordon
Flash, The
Fletch Won (Directed by Kevin Smith)
He-Man
Hellboy 2
Ice Age 2
Indiana Jones 4
Italian Job II, The
Jurassic Park IV
Miami Vice
Pirates of the Caribbean 2
Police Academy
Prairie Home Companion, A

I don't think any of these will come out in 2005, to the best of my knowledge none of these have been cast or are shooting or anything. Resident Evil, perhaps, as the casting is likely already done, but I still doubt it. And House of the Dead 2? Was there a 1? |

| What part of "2006" don't you understand, Blearns? :) |

Sadly, there was a House of the Dead 1, but it had nothing to do with two do-gooders shooting lots of dead people on their quest to stop the evil Dr. Curien.
How could they NOT do a "Prairie Home Companion" movie? I can't stand the radio show, but I imagine that one guy talking to himself in 10 silly voices on the big screen would be great! And they could even include that huge crowd that always seems to sit in and cheer for all of his mini-shows.
And Bull, is there a reason you wrote Die Hard 4.0 instead of Die Hard 4? Was there a Die Hard 3.1.3722 or something? |

Yeah, that was the version number of Die Hard SP3 I think.
As for 2005, I am very much looking forward to The Dukes of Hazzard as well as the War of the Worlds, and lets not forget Star Wars Episode III.0 |

| Yeah, I wrote Die Hard 4.0 because that's how it was listed in IMDB. I copied and pasted all of the titles. I'm surprised nobody commented on "The Evil Dead" It is a Sam Rami initiative. It said something about them trying to find a director. Does anyone know anything about this? |
