Check this article out.
Apparently this lady was sacked for eating pork in a Muslim owned company. The thing I find the most absurd about this is the fact that it is a "rule" in the company that pork not be brought onto premises, so she was fired. I do not find the rule absurd, maybe crappy or even stupid in my opinion but fine, it is a "rule" in a company that only hires and catters to Muslims so I can understand it... wait a second, you mean it isn't actually written anywhere and she signed nothing agreeing to this rule, and the company states they do not discriminate based on religion and have an open environment workplace? Doesn't sound like a rule to me, it just sounds more like a wrongful discrimination lawsuit sure thing. |

How do we sift through the media filter to find out what the #$&$ actually happened? How frustrating...
For the same reason I feel that Augusta National can deny membership to women, if this J-hole wants to run his business with "no pork" laws, more power to him. It's a free country and life isn't fair. It does seem very illegal to run a business that way, but I personally don't take issue with it. |
