This morning I passed a newstand and read a few lines of a Washington Post cover story discussing The All New Al Gore's bizarre speech. The headline and lead paragraph suggested that Washington insiders and top Kerry aides are now engaged in serious discussion over whether Kerry should be less cautious and take a more aggressive tone in his quest for the White House. Apparently Gore still has major influence in directing policy, albeit from afar.
All I can say is: Please, please, please, please do this, Mr. Kerry. Because clearly Gore's speech was a good idea (wink, wink) that resonated with middle America and not just a few non-voting, hemp-clad Deaniacs. Obviously this fiery new brand of rhetoric will be very pleasing to us all. Remember how we all rallied behind Howard Dean when he went nuts?
Kerry has made some mistakes in the past year, but I can't imagine a worse (or more entertaining) idea than unleashing "Angry John Kerry." |

| Jerry, I say both Al Gore and John Kerry should do what comes naturally and then "Let the chips fall where they may." That seems to be a good move, afterall I think Al Gore has reinvented himself more than plastic surgeons have done with Michael Jackson. |

"Let the chips fall where they may," genius. For anyone who doesn't know, that quote is what Algore says everytime he reinvents himself. Seriously, he actually says that every time. He rolls up his sleeves, gets all serious and promises that he's not gonna hold back any more, just let it fly. And yet, 6 months later, he seems to have lost the course and rededicates himself to some new version of Algore.
I think with every passing day Algore's antics make his House Dreams more & more remote. Now if only Hilary Clinton weren't so damn smart, 2008 would seem a whole lot safer. |

| I was watching O'Reilly last night and I realized the cover I'd seen was from the New York Times. I should have known that if there was a "paper of record" pushing an agenda, it would be the New York Times. |
