useless: One Man, Frozen In Time

Jakob Nielsen is a leading expert on usability known 'round the world for his minimalist design style. Follow his advice and your site will render in Netscape 3.1, on cell phones, etc. And your pages will load lightning fast!

Unfortunately, they will also be really, really, really boring and hard to read. Really.

We believe that it doesn't have to be that way. According to Jakob, "this website is created by myself ... [and] I didn't want to spend money to hire an artist." Well folks, we don't think it takes a graphic artist to design a title bar or some subnavigation. In fact, we believe that with an Adobe Photoshop license and 10 minutes of free time, Jakob might be able to add some character to his site. Adobe is selling their new Photoshop CS product for $649. Together, with your donation of a mere $1, less than you'd pay for a Jolt cola, you can help Jakob pay for a license.

This is a not-for-profit venture and donations will no longer be accepted once our goal is reached.

Too Cheap To Part With $1.00?

Is your budget tight this month? Don't stress out, you can still help! We are currently accepting design contributions, stylesheets, photographs, anything you think might help Jakob's site. Please send all files to savejakob@shinydonkey.com.
